Why this report matters
Women today live longer than ever, but they also spend more years in poor health. Globally, closing the women’s health gap could add over 500 healthy days to every woman’s life and generate at least $1 trillion in GDP by 2040. Yet women’s health remains deeply under-researched, under-invested, and under-prioritised.
At the same time, the Femtech sector is gaining traction, and Spain is carving out a unique role. While consumer wellness apps dominate globally, our ecosystem stands out for medical devices, regulated technology, diagnostics, and deep science solutions. Fertility, oncology, perimenopause, pelvic health… Spanish innovators are building clinically validated tools designed for real healthcare integration.
